JUDICIAL BACKGROUND: Judge of the San Francisco Municipal Court, 1983-1985; Judge of the San Francisco Superior Court, 1985-1990 (Elected 1986); Presiding Judge Criminal Division, 1988-1989; Associate Justice, California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District, Division Four, 1990-present (Elected 1994).
